WHAT PEOPLE ASK US.
The answers we give on the phone, written down once and for all. If one is missing, it belongs in an e-mail.
01How much does a site cost with HuginMboa?
A structured showcase site starts around 200,000 FCFA; an editorial platform or business tool is quoted after scoping. We give a range at the first call — never an empty number.
02What are the usual timelines?
Four to eight weeks for a site, eight to sixteen for a product. The limiting factor is almost never code: it is content and decision availability.
03Do you work outside Cameroon?
Yes. We are based in Douala and work remotely across the sub-region and with the diaspora, with fixed check-ins and a written report at every step.
04How does payment work?
Three instalments: kick-off, design sign-off, go-live. No hourly billing, no end-of-project surprises.
05What happens at the first meeting?
We listen and observe: real usage, field constraints, what already exists. You leave with a written scope, even if you do not work with us.
06Can I edit the content myself?
Yes — it is a requirement from day one. Every delivery includes a short training and a guide, so you never depend on us to change a line of text.
07Who owns the code and the files?
You do. Repository, design files, hosting accounts and domain names are transferred to your name at delivery.
08Do you write the content too?
We frame the editorial structure and can write alongside you. Photos and business copy stay yours — that is what makes a site credible.
09Will the site work on a slow network?
It is a design criterion, not an option: optimised images, light pages, progressive loading. We test in 3G conditions before any go-live.
10Do you maintain the site after delivery?
Yes, through a monthly contract: updates, tested backups, monitoring and a readable report every month. We also maintain your computers, laptops and desktops.
11Can you take over an existing site?
Often. We start with an audit: what is salvageable, what must be rebuilt, what each option costs. With no judgement on the previous provider.
12What about hosting, domain and e-mail?
We set them up in your name and hand over the credentials. You stay the owner; we stay accountable for as long as the contract runs.
